Mongols are archetypical nomads: natural horsemen, tough, cunning and, on the battlefield, extraordinary efficient warriors. No other medieval army had to fight in so many different climates and countries. No other army was able to win victories over such different peoples as the Poles, the Russians, the Persians, the Teutonic Knights and the Chinese.
